Developments:
GSE's revenue rose more than 80 percent last year, to $85.3 million.

The company, which went public in August, attributed the increase to its acquisition of a Texas Instruments Inc. division in late 1994.

This division, based in Hunt Valley, Md., has enabled GSE to break away from the uncertain prospects of the nuclear power industry and to refocus on providing software for real and simulated operations, ranging from oil pipelines to making steel.
