Connecticut was one of nine states that held primaries on Sept. 15. The candidates for both governor and Senate ran unopposed. Incumbent Gov. John Rowland (R) will face Rep. Barbara Kennelly (D) in November. In the Senate race, incumbent Sen. Christopher Dodd (D) will run against Rep. Gary Franks (R).
